Australia: "Belong" for the Extraordinary Missionary Month October 2019

In the Archdiocese of Canberra in Australia, "Belong," a collection of interactive resources to help schools, parishes and dioceses to implement the intentions of the October 2019 Extraordinary Missionary Month, was presented: the initiative is aimed at the youth and young adults in particular, but could also be useful to all age groups.

Belong is based on the conviction that everyone is invited to belong to the Church, to believe in Christ and to become Christians.

The local ecclesial community provides the context to develop these three main areas of awareness through a series of access points facilitated by the accompaniment to encounter Christ and His Church. Belong supports the communities in overcoming the challenges faced in facilitating these moments of encounter by delivering a formation course aimed at the youth and young adults.

The website that describes the initiative is www.belongresource.com. The interactive resources help to deepen the four dimensions indicated by the Holy Father to prepare and live the October 2019 Extraordinary Missionary Month: encounter, witness, formation and missionary action, and already some schools, parishes and other communities have taken advantage of it. Although it is created in English, it will soon be available in Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and French.
