In anticipation of the Extraordinary Missionary Month October 2019, the Pontifical Society of the Missionary  Childood is promoting the competition "Baptized and Sent: Singing the Mission." The aim of the competition is to engage children and young people from all dioceses, assisted by the animators, in composing lyrics and music for a song with "Baptized and sent" in the refrain.

 Both, the lyrics and music, should be in the local language and reflect local customs and traditions. Each diocese shall choose the winning song of the competition at a local level and send the audio and video files to the National Office of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) in their country.

Each National Office will select the winning song at the national level and send it to the International Secretariat of the Holy Childhood to be recorded on a CD/DVD.
