Europe/Poland:The close link between the Living Rosary Association and missionary cooperation

Warsaw (Agenzia Fides) - From May 31st to June 1st, over ten thousand members of the Association of the Living Rosary, met for the seventh time in Jasna Góra, National Shrine of Poland, to pray together and learn more about the Servant of God Pauline Jaricot , foundress of the Pontifical Society of the Propagation of the Faith (POPF). 
In the context of the preparation for the Extraordinary Missionary Month of October 2019 and in view of the 200th anniversary of the foundation of the Association of the Living Rosary (founded in Lyon in 1826), the link between the Living Rosary and the Society of the Propagation of the Faith was emphasized.
According to information sent to Agenzia Fides by the National Direction of the Pontifical Mission Societies of Poland, during the two-day pilgrimage the night prayer vigil was lived in the Shrine, the Rosary was recited, and Holy Mass was celebrated. In addition, Fr. Bogdan Michalski gave a lecture on the missionary commitment of Pauline Jaricot and the young volunteers of the Pontifical Society of the Propagation of the Faith proposed an artistic event. For many years, the National Direction of the PMS has been working on the preparation and animation of the event.
The letter sent by the Secretary General of POPF, Fr. Tadeusz Nowak OMI was welcomed with great joy, in which he encouraged all groups of the Living Rosary to missionary cooperation . According to Church statistics in Poland, the Living Rosary Association unites more than 2.5 million people who pray every day according to the Holy Father's intentions and for missions. Many groups of the Living Rosary support the missionary projects carried out by the POPF. At the end of the pilgrimage the prayer for the beatification of Pauline Jaricot was recited and each participant received a leaflet on POPF and a missionary magazine.
