Uganda: the Mission Sunday

On October 20, 2019, the Diocese of Kiyinda-Mityana celebrated Mission Sunday and the Climax of the EMMOCT2019 activities. FIVE CANDLES in the mission colours of the mission cross that represented the five  continents: Green for Africa, Yellow for Asia, White for Europe, Red for the America and Blue for Oceania. During the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass  290 young people received the Sacrament of Confirmation and 24  couples received the Sacrament of Matrimony. Besides, many children and adults were baptized in the Diocese in light of the theme: Baptized and Sent: The Church of Christ on Mission in the world. The main celebrant was the Chancellor of the Diocese along with 12 priests from the rest of the Diocese. I was invited to say a word on the EMMOCT2019 and the way forward after this celebration. The mission of Christ must be the concern of everyone, each one in his or her God-given vocation.
