India: New Initiatives Promoted by the Congregation of the Josephites of Murialdo

India, new structures for children will be set up and managed by the Congregation of the Josephites of Murialdo. Three after-school centers will be built respectively in Aranvoyalkuppam, Koppur and Papparampakkam. The centers will be attended by more than 80 children, who will benefit from educational support, the distribution of school materials, and recreational activities. "The first to be grateful for this initiative are the children," says the Congregation’s educators. "They are happy because they feel welcomed." The same welcoming atmosphere can be felt in the house for boys located in Nampikkai Illam, which for the past three years has been engaged in accompanying young people with disadvantaged family situations, especially orphans and semi-orphans. The center provides educational assistance, material and spiritual support. The spiritual "care," in particular, makes these children grow up loved and educated into being responsible and respectful.
