Poland: Consecrated embrace the Extraordinary Missionary Month with prayer

On January 31, a press conference was held regarding the World Day of Consecrated Life at the Polish Episcopal Conference headquarters, on the occasion of the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord. During the meeting, on the theme "Youth, Faith, Vocations," representatives from congregations of women, men, contemplatives, laity and young consecrated persons spoke about their vocation and work with young people.

In Poland, there are 32,000 consecrated people, including monks and nuns, religious men and women from active and contemplative congregations, people gathered in institutes, associations and lay communities, consecrated virgins and widows, as well as hermits.

Msgr. Jacek Kiciński CMF, president of the Commission for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, recalled that October 2019 was declared by Pope Francis the "Extraordinary Missionary Month." He asked everyone to pray for this special occasion and for all missionary congregations. "I thank you very much for having dedicated and offered your whole life to missionary service," said Msgr. Kiciński, expressing the gratitude of the whole local Church.
